Let Down

Bass, Background Vocals

When my childhood friend Jonny moved from SJ to Fremont in the late 90's, he connected the two indie-punk scenes. We would spend the next few years hanging out and plying in bands with all the cool new friends he made. After the demise of OJ's Bronco, Jonny, three of the guys we met (Sean, Jeff, Jim), and I were playing in Synapse. Jeff had an internship at a studio in Fremont run by Kurt Foster (later purchased by Shays Rebellion in MA). Kurt was a cool dude and really took the time to explain to us the recording process. I think this might be the inspiration that led me to thinking I could do this myself. I ended up purchasing a TEAC 2340SX 4track reel to reel machine off of him that I had up until about 2014 with the matching Model 2 mixer.

We played a bunch of shows in the bay area, did a little touring around some parts of the US. Made good friends with a band called Evenground out of Reno, NV. They became our good buddies and after Jonny, Sean and I left the band a follow-up EP was released as a Synapse/Evenground split, but it was one band made up of two Synapse members and two of the EvenGround members.
